5. I2C Timing Parameter Automatic Scan:

To simplify the customer's test process and improve test efficiency, we have launched the I2C Timing Parameter automatic scanning function in the new version of Tower console GUI (V2.26 and above). Engineers can first run this function to automatically scan and quickly get an I2C Timing Parameter result, and then use it according to the result. I2C Host Adapter(3) The method is to test the boundary conditions given in the test results and capture the waveform, so as to complete the chip I2C Timing Parameter test report faster and more efficiently.

The specific steps are as follows:

3. Click "Tool" and select "I2C scan"

4. The following interface will pop up:

6. Enter the value as required and click the “Verify” button

7. If the Verify is correct, you can click the “Scan”  button to scan.

The scan results will then be written in the Excel table as follows:

For this scan result, we use the chip from NXP, the originator of I2C, as a comparison benchmark, followed by the test chip results scanned by our I2C Host Adapter. Engineers can then conduct further testing based on the results and refer to their own chip specifications to check any parameters they are concerned about. With this quick test report, engineers can greatly reduce the testing workload and use their valuable time for more meaningful purposes.
