I3C Host adapter Pro+ (6)hits:29

Easyi3C is a leading supplier of embedded system tools that simplify the development and debugging of various communication protocols. The company offers a range of products designed to help engineers and developers use I3C/I2C , USB and MIPI, JEDEC, MCTP and other protocols more efficiently.

6. Strong Driver:

In order to cope with larger loads, we have enhanced our driving capabilities on the pro driver to meet customers' more complex testing scenario requirements and solve users' testing pain points.

For example, in the real scenario of a memory stick, as shown in the following figure:

On a motherboard, a CPU supports two I3C masters. Each I3C master can access and control up to eight memory sticks via the I3C protocol. Achieving the JEDEC maximum speed of 12.5MHz places heavy loads on the I3C master, requiring high driver capabilities. This is where our strong driver comes in handy. Our Easyi3C I3C Host Adapter Pro+ offers powerful driver capabilities and is the default strong driver, meeting customer testing requirements in this scenario.

To simulate the scenario on the motherboard above, we made a test board that can fully accommodate 8 memory sticks, as shown below:

We set up a test environment as shown below using the Easyi3C I3C Host adapter Pro+, Easyi3C I3C Host adapter Pro, and another brand's I3C adapter to test their driving capabilities when fully loaded with eight memory sticks.

1.  Easyi3C I3C Host adapter Pro

Our Pro does not support Srong Driver. A single memory stick can run at 12.5MHz, but under this full load condition, it can only run at a maximum of around 10MHz.

2.  Other Company I3C Host adapter

We selected a product from a brand for comparison, which costs more than US$10,000.

Through testing, we know that this product can only run at a full rate of about 10MHz at most, which cannot meet the JEDEC 12.5MHz requirement.

3.  Easyi3C I3C Host adapter Pro+

Through testing, we know that Pro+ can run at 12.5MHz even when fully loaded with 8 memory sticks, meeting the JEDEC 12.5MHz requirement.

4. Comparison of tR time of different products

In the test environment, under the same conditions, different I3C Host Adapters access the I3C slave device on the same memory stick on the test board. The test diagram is as follows:

The test results are as follows:

From the graph, we can see that the value of tR increases gradually from top to bottom. The value of tR reflects the strength of the driving ability.

From the above examples, we can see that the Easyi3C I3C Host adapter Pro+ product with the added Strong Driver capability can meet customers' needs for simulating test scenarios on real motherboard memory sticks, allowing customers to test new products in more realistic scenarios.
